Jock..Sorry for my delay in responding.. Besides investing in LSI or another chip company, do you suppose your Japanese couple might also be interested in a U.S. account holding Treasuries at nearly 6%, as opposed to the 1% they are used to in their Japanese Postal Savings account? Especially with the dollar strengthening against the yen.
Your reasoning sounds good, however, if that Japanese family thinks like the typical U.S. family...Just MHO... TSO
