I think the cost they'll be charging per platter will be more in the $5-10 range, and the profit margin will be very high. How much would you pay as a drive manufacturer for a sudden, immediate 40% jump in performance? More than $2 i think. I don't see why most of it shouldn't be pure profit if they license it, and so I see much greater profit potential. Could it approach $2 EPS in 98 when all but MR is under way? Don't see that as unreasonable projections, provided some of the big manufacturers sign on. Here's hopin, and waitin for that lovely first announcement. Just margined 1K shares yesterday, should've waited till today!
