I like old cars, too. I think I would like my next pleasure ride to be about 40 years old, parts available and pretty easy to fix, in good condition but un-restored. A full-time driving car. Saw a flamingo colored one over by the Interstate; I forget what kind, probably original paint and upholstery, all there, pretty darn nice but not fidgety-restored. I think it was only 6,000. ("Runs good.") I want something like that. Saw an Ambassador by the cafe, that would do. And a similar condition complete Hudson, a real beauty, but it was 12 or 15k I think, and probably just too darn cool and restorable to drive around. I had a 41 Packard, but it just wasn't practical. I want some practical fun; maybe a dash that looks rocket-ship. Wide seats and four doors. A HOOD, and a hood ornament.

Oh, flamingo one had whitewalls. They're a pain around here, but pretty neat. There's a guy out west of here who has forty of these cars sitting in a field. Should go see if he's still there.

Maybe I should just paint the Toyota flamingo color and put curb feelers on it.

Any make and/or model suggestions with easier maintenance and reliability?
