Problem with Jack White on-line, or my problem?
Today at 2 pm I entered a limit sell order for AMTX at $17.00; the price wobbled between 16 7/8 and 17 1/4 for the next hour and a half, but my sell never occurred. Then around 3:30 the price tanked to $15. I called Jack White to ask why my order had not been processed, and they told me that limit orders are handled after market orders, and perhaps there had been too much volume to get around to the limit orders. A check of Lombard's intraday chart showed unusually low volume for that period. I'm wondering if JW's online service maybe didn't actually process my order? I've put in limit sells numerous times by telephone (their telepath system) and the transaction has always happened within minutes. Has anyone else had experience with Jack White's online system? Does their explanation make sense?
