There is too much to go into here Scott, but not to worry, the cable companies and their allies will do just fine in the wars. The thing that really pisses me off is that an average, or even experienced investor or fund manager, is going nuts trying to follow what the hell is going on EVERYWHERE. It is almost chaos and anarchy. The bad thing about it is that this area is the future where all the money is going to be made so it's a serious problem. So don't feel alone Scott. I'm fortunate because years ago I chose these areas as my specialties in analysis--YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MESSED UP THINGS ARE. It's serious because if someone blindly chooses to go long in certain companies, they could find themselves in a horse and buggy technology dying with their capital. Just standardization is a nightmare. "Me!" "NO! Mine!" "My technology!" "MINE MINE MINE MINE!" Everyone's ego is running wild. "SHUTUP!" I feel like yelling. And that's just one, repeat one, of about 30 issues to be settled, it's like a minefield, choose the wrong one of a myriad of combinations and BOOM! your pocket book will go off like a 500lb fragmentation bomb. You just witnessed how fast it can happen with TCI's abrupt tactical 180 degree that may have wrecked a whole sector for an indeterminate length of time.

I offer you one piece of free advice: NEVER NEVER NEVER UNDERESTIMATE JOHN MALONE! If you just follow him around and pick up his crumbs, you'll get rich beyond your wildest dreams.
