Rod, you didn't understand the question. I was asking if the sentence "love thy neighbor as thyself" was offensive. Plainly I guess it is, since you went on to talk of "ignorant and asinine cults".
You talk of man "fabricating Gods", and then you go on to you say "Clearly something created this universe and I believe it is man's challenge to discover what our creator has laid out before us.
I'm not really sure where you're coming from, other than you reject the God spoken of in the Bible, Jesus, and Christianity. You of course realize that your conclusion isn't at all new, unique, or particularly inspiring. But hey, whatever. Since this is the "Ask God" thread, I doubt you will find what you are looking for here, but you are certainly welcome to hang around.
