An Open Letter to Mr. Fred Sorkin

Dear Mr. Sorkin:

I received the annual report from our company last night in a "priority mail" envelope. Just as I did last year, I opened it up immediately and tried to read up all the good news that you have to say. Sure enough, everything seems rosy in your annual report: sales are up, net income is up and working capital is up (page 2 of the report). But one thing is missing: what about the company's stock price? You did not mention it, you probably don't want to. The following is a rough extrapolation from Yahoo's chart for our company's stock price the last three years:

1995 high: $50 low $18
1996 high: $48 low $26
1997 high: $42 low $26

As you know, the stock market has been going gangbuster the last few years, especially the technology stocks. It is a mystery to me that our company, with record sales and earnings, has been left in the dust.

Last year, I send you an email and did not get a response from you. I waited for another year and tried to be patient. I will be posting this open letter at the Hummingbird thread at the Silicon Investor web site. I hope someone from the company will respond to me this time and map out your game plan to enhance investors' value. Thank you.

Note: Above open letter was sent by email to Hummingbird.
