from the link.... ''The $999-$1,499 price range is the 'sweet spot' for home PCs,'' said Brian Connors, vice president, IBM Aptiva brand. ''With the
E84, we are leading the market by shipping the first AMD K6 300MHz systems at an outstanding price. These new models
complement our existing Aptiva line and demonstrate IBM's continued commitment to deliver the best home PCs at the most
competitive prices.''

please can anybody explain to me why a business would pay more... double even... to have drab intel logo on the box... they won't... the market will become expensive work-station type pc's and everything else will be boxes....and margins will come tumbling down....
