Larry,

I am new to this group, so am not really sure who is accurate in their opinions and forecasts. Everyone sounds like an expert, but we know that can't be true. There is always a loser for every winner. I have been intrigued by Warren Gates' postings -- seems very knowledgable. I happen to be long on Zitel, however, so I did some searching around in other areas. This may be common knwoledge, but everyone may want to check out the GIFT thread entitled "ODDS NOW: Your $10 wins $60". If I am misreading this, I apologize to Warren, but He seemed to have been very convinced (somewhat like he is on Zitel) that at the $10 level, GIFT was a great value. Check a chart on this one. About the time Warren was calling $10 great, it reached a high of $11.25 and then fell promptly to around $1.50. It's yearly low is around $1.00. As I said, if incorrect interpretation, I apologize. But in the mean time, I am feeling better about being long in Zitel! I listened to the telephone conference with ZITEL and came away with a very positive feeling. While it's true that King revealed nothing concrete, I have a feeling they are in so many negotiations to cut deals with all other Y2000 companies that this is the reason for what Mad Monk refers to as "hot air". If Matridigm has the conversion part of this hands down, and they license it to ALL (or almost all) other companies, they will reach most of the 220 billion lines of code with their product. Other companies will benefit on the front end and back end, but what would be Matridigm's take per line of code converted -- probably somewhere between .10 and $1.00. As 2000 rolls closer and panic sets in, this price goes up accordingly. Again, this is only my attempt at a logical justification for purchasing this stock at 3-4 times its current value. But, it could very well be a several billion dollar company in the not-too-distant future. All guesses and opinions at this stage, but I get a good feeling on this one. Also, I'll make my standard plug for Grandmaster Technologies (GMT - Vancouver). Check them out. Stock ran from about $1.20 to $5.00 last year based solely on promise of their IBIS technology. Delays bore impatience which bore selling off. Now, REUTERS, through TIBCO, has finally entered the picture (you can get news releases somewhere). This will put company back on track which will hopefully achieve the $18-$50 stock price during 1996-1997. Go Zitel! If Zitel pans out as Dave Stewart says, his other picks will generate a great deal of notice.
