Bob: Thanks for posting the SUNW announcement. Not having read all posts, my take is this: SUNW is a johnny-come-lately to this migration idea, I suspect. They are trying to sweeten the deal by offering hardware discounts? Will that compensate for a migration tool in its early stages?

What's more, sure, they may offer more software options, and their software may be Y2K compliant, but a customer still has to correct existing data. ACLY has the benefit of DEC's factory system and will be able to reach DEC customers more easily than SUNW, no? And if ACLY gets there first, they'll be able to show off other products as well.

Am I just whistling in the dark?
