Petz, lets assume it's may and the Fab conversion to .25u is complete. Will the AMD 266 mhz @ .375u now be made on .25u geometry or discontinued? If discontinued would the AMD 300MHZ @ .25u CPU be the lowest speed CPU chip AMD would make. If so the AMD-300 might be the $100.00 chip Sanders spoke of to bring computing to the masses. My thought is for AMD to make tons of money in a repeat proformance of the AMD 386... AMD 486... previous sucess story chip production had to be stabilized on one CPU chip that AMD can mass produce and sell like hot cakes. If the AMD-300 @ .25u is the chip for the masses to fill the Sub $1,000.00 market channel, what can Intel offer OEM's that would be competive in proformance @ $100.00. Lets exclude Intel Celeron for now as it just can't proform up to parr with the AMD 300, So as the latest reviews. Please match the Intel chip you thing can match the AMD-300, best in performance. Assuming superman made the earth stand still and nothing changes just for a micro moment.
