October '96 was our Hawaii trip. We stayed on the Kona coast, and the last coupla days we discovered Kahalu'u Bay five miles south of Kailua-Kona. Excellent snorkeling in a semiprotected lagoon kinda place, with near-tame fish.
Yes. Puffers look like Greek warships during a galley slave strike. Two overworked scabs flailing to keep this big ugly fat fish pointed into the current. "We need to find better jobs."
