Rainier, the issue of a valuation model has played long and hard on my mind.

I am leery of macro approaches based on population demographics etc. Anyway we slice it, there is a big pool to work from. My personal opinion is that the ultimate number of procedures performed will be Dr. driven. For the most part, Drs. will be the ones telling the SNRS story, either to their patients, their Rotary Club or the local TV station. I have thought that a viable way to approach it is to leverage off of the PRK/LASIK projections that have been done. These procedures are really setting the stage for SNRS in that the public is much more aware of laser eye surgery because of them. I can post numbers from a projection that I have for PRK/LASIK if people would like post their guestimates of the ratio PRK/LASIK procedures to LTK procedures, given all the factors (age group, cost, lack of pain, immediate results etc). Obviously, all that anyone can do is guess.

I'll start by saying that a very conservative ratio in my mind would be 5 LTK's for each PRK/LASIK procedure done. I think I might be way off, but its a starting point.

Thanks for starting this very interesting subject.

Greg
