I agree with you that ADSL is a likely service option for AOL as it falls into a more typical phone/data com pattern. One which I hope will find good standards and down to earth pricing.

Will AOL have differentiated pricing for ADSL service?

What I really question is when TCI, Time Warner and others says to a customer that he can have 1000 times faster service for $39.99 per month, no telephone link necessary and they'll have other TV services bundled into the package, will they switch?

These cable companies are going to poor on the challenge in 99. They are now spending billions in preparation and they do have standards or modems which will make them interchangable from service to service, thus reach affordable pricing.

So, these cable companies pass over 80% of the homes in the US, how many would be likely to convert? I know I am anxiously awaiting higher speed service.

So, to be more direct, can AOL sell into the Cable TV connected user market?

Regards,

Mark
