If you bought a put in Motorola and it is expiring next week, why don't you exercise and have a short position on the stock. This is what I intend to do with 40 April 60 puts I purchased the day before earnings were announced for $1.75/sh. I owned MOT for many years and this stock is like a "rolling stock" - up to the 80's and down to the 40's. I missed one ride up and down but have since wisened up (knock on wood). I will buy back the shares when they go down to the mid 40's which I expect to happen when they release next qtr's earnings. Fair valuation for the stock is about $40.00 based on P/E of 30 and future earnings of $1.30. Earnings acceleration won't occur until SE Asia recovers - tht could be 2 years from now, at least.
