Thanks David and Gary for clarifying that point about holding periods. So that wouldn't explain sudden covering at any given point in time. I had never held a short long enough to think I might qualify for long term gain so I have never pursued the question.

Re: Viagra- Locally OSCO Drugs (large chain, not sure where else they are located)has sent out a notification that they have Viagra in stock. When my office called they said they are pricing it at about $10/pill. They expect to sell out this shipment by the end of the week judging by the huge number of calls they are receiving.

Re: VVUS- I just saw that the last trade was at 10 even.
