Russ,

I'm far from an expert but I think that at $19.50 MU could make good money if they could crank out 64 Mbit chips in volume with decent yields. Trouble is they can't yet and by the time they can prices will be a lot lower. DavidG and permabulls of his ilk may wish to correct me but from the articles I've read (none published by DJ strangely enough) MU is behind Samsung and the Japanese in making 64s. However, they are scrambling to catch up and they've demonstrated in the past an ability to move quickly to next-generation devices. Although they haven't had as much time to prepare this cycle as they did with 4/16. Everyone is leaping to 64 as fast as possible so the question to ask is will anyone make money in 64 once volumes really ramp? Doubtful in current environment although the Kipster will tell you that yessir demand is strong. That must be why prices have gone off a cliff!

regards, Mike
