I believe so.

Although Mr. Burke's appointment is a good one, my primary complaint with his background is that he lacks commercial experience and seems to be more of a government/defense type. I would expect Mr. Burke to know Gov' Regulations, such as the one requiring conversion to digital TV, and to know how to "walk the corridors" in Washington. That's important. However, MPEG still needs people who know how to bring a technology to market. Therefore, I thought that they were missing a basic piece of puzzle to build foundation for a great company.

I am now more at ease with the addition of Mr. Sprague who has Nat' Sem. background. Nat' Sem. people tend to know and have seen production logistics, in order to bring a product to customer's hand. I think they still need another piece, a strategic marketing type.

At this point, all appointments are all good moves. And the timing is quite good.

Of course, if you walk in the shoes of Mr. Burke or Mr. Sprague, who have hard earned reputations to protect, you wouldn't want to join a "hole in the wall" outfit. You would want to join solid outfits with the most credible promises. They picked MPEG.
