TED, one clarification about VentureTech 2000 and Veronex. I confirmed through the FTC that VentureTech was indeed using telemarketing to sell shares of their company directly to the public last May (or thereabouts) when Global Mining was shut down. The LA Times article was correct about some of the same salesman doing the selling, but there is no proof the sales pitch they were using was misleading (nor, for that matter, legit). Again, from what VentureTech told me, they currently only telemarket to companies for sales and services, not investing.

I also could not confirm nor deny if the same investor that is the link between VentureTech and Global Mining is also involved with Veronex.
