Marconi controls NovAtel now. If they want to buy the rest of the shares they can do it anytime they want. Nobody sells 58% of their company without understanding what they are giving up. If Mrarconi's real reason for not buying the remaining shares is really to maintain the profit incentive of employees, then they will never be able to bid less than the 10.91 price they paid. Imagine the reaction of employees if they discounted their shares!! The way i read it, this establishes a minimum value for NGPSF shares. Speculators who thought they were getting in on a buyout situation dumped their stock and have moved on. Meanwhile the earnings warning scared off buyers for those shares. consequently the bottom dropped out. If you are a long term investor this is a great opportunity to load up. The Ask price sits at $7.6875. If you buy now and are willing to hold, either Marconi will someday buy your shares at least at $10.91 or the stock will recover to levels above that price on its own. Unless the company totally tanks (extremely unlikely) this is a great opportunity. A 42%+ gain on relatively low risk is a great bargain! Personally i think we will see $12+ this year. Dont miss this gift horse opportunity! If you think you got screwed by NGPSF, sell it now so i can buy more at a little better price. thanks.
