Barry, I'm not invested in this stock, so I have no interest one way or the other. But in my view companies like Yahoo and Lycos represent a new advertising medium with unknown but very promising potential.

Think about this: when you read a newspaper or visit your mailbox or are unfortunate enough to have a listed phone number you are bombarded with unwanted advertising. But the advertising on Yahoo et al is very directed. That makes it a very valuable medium for advertisers. So, yes, I believe they can annualize it and more.

Do I want to invest in this stock? No, I find it much too expensive for my humble budget. BUT, I think you have to be a little crazy to be a short here, because there simply isn't a good way to value growth companies. Heuristics such as YPEG and P/E multiples are much too naive because they omit many pertinent factors and make too many implicit assumptions.

Regards,

Paul
