Most people here know I am short IOM. Just ask around. I believe IOM is fundamentally overvalued at this level, as it's Earnings are declining rapidly, and serious competition is on the horizon. Sony expects to ship HiFi "in the Spring." This means very soon if true. 2.1 Gig Orb beta units are already shipping, and general shipping is due in the next month or two. Jaz is just plain toast.

6 Million CD-R units are expected to be sold this year, and this figure is increasing rapidly year to year. One of these units will be to me. CD-R media is so cheap now (.99› per disc), that hard drive backup and archiving is literally pocket change. Jaz simply has no chance in cost/MB.

Zip simply will not replace the floppy. Even Micron has dropped Zip as its much-heralded A:drive. IOM's PE is almost at my prediction of 15. But this does not include the upcoming "earnings." When the new losses are figured in, the PE will continue to adjust downward to $4.80 with a PE of 15. Could actually be lower than $4.80 if IOM warns of more losses.
