Thomas, you're right in that it's a lot more dangerous when the media cloaks itself in a thin veneer of credibility. Mike McCurry's been amazingly effective at manipulating press coverage and controlling the flow of information.

IMHO, the real scandal is campaign finance, but ask the average person in the street about Charlie Trie or Jon Yuang and they're more likely to tell you that they're minor league pitching prospects for the New York Yankees.
