Actually, you bring up a fascinating point. I had always assumed that while watching the glorious manatees, (they are on the double secret extra super endangered list, as you are probably aware) taht the large quantities of bubbles signified that the animal had exhaled and was preparing to come to the surface and get another breath. I believe now that I was drawing a false conclusion based upon inadequate study (and standing upwind).
