You said >>> "Jerry, you are learning that all you learned you can now see with a "simple" trend line.... but it took a lot of "staring" for you to get there." After almost 4 years of my trek my opinions shared are "State of the Jerry", and not necessarily the art. -vbg-
There are many tools in TA and we should get to know as many as possible. We all settle down with a few, or at least we should, in order to make an attempt at systematizing the disorder. With that said, I see a lot of 'filler'. In an attempt to make more clear we complicate and the yield is redundancy.
Gann boxes are complicated. We could go a hundred posts on just the sizing of a box and where to place it. That dosn't mean that they don't work per se but we might get the same information in the using of trendlines and ma's. One other thing about the boxes, and by the way, my only knowledge of Gann are his boxes and no more, they leave an awful lot of the right side exposed leaving that much more of an opening for human emotion to gain entrance. TLs and ma's are more NOW intensive. You are either riding, above or below them.
Thats how I feel about these things now, maybe in 4 years I will be radically different in thought than now. I hope not, you see, TA is not positive when you jump around from one thing to another, but maybe I should reserve the right -vbg-. There really is no right and wrong from one individuals to anothers work, its what works for you, and we all are intelligent enough to respect that choice. But our responsibilty is first continuing our own learning and then to those who seek knowledge from us. I wish we had this forum years ago, I'm sure I personally would have saved a great deal of time and money. I hope our posts serve to reward the people who read them in that respect.
