I have not been short DELL in over 6 months...I TRADE, I am short AMZN in the 80's and 90's......I will short YHOO tomorrow......AMZN will get to 30 by yearend, IMHO, as do all the bubble stocks.....DELL is a trading stock...I am not sure what kind of stock YHOO is yet, although I would put it somewhere in between, not as good a company as DELL but also not as lousy a deal as AMZN....I look forward to shorting YHOO tomorrow....I make my living trading, and 80% of all my trades are from the short side. IMO that is where the easy money always is...best of luck to you....
You forgot to mention that I have also shorted stocks like BOST from 40 to 5, DJT from 30 to 10, RAIN from 30+ to teens, FGCI from 30+ to teens, SFSK, Planet Hollywood, Barnes and Noble, Borders group, CYMI, COMS, CDRD from 22 to 12 recently, and the list goes on and on, and all this is a raging bull market and my average return for this type of trade(what I call long term=3 months) is usually greater than 50% in less than 3 months........;^)
IMHO the buy and hold investor will eventually be wiped out entirely by the next bear market, because they don't know how to sell....and mark my words there WILL most definitely be another bear market , it WILL last several years, and 90% of the brainwashed "buy 'em and hold 'em" crowd will be wiped out.....when it comes I do not pretend to be able to predict, but I will be trading short from now until then because it is likely to start sooner than later, best of luck to you..;^) |
