I just got off the phone with Mark. I had left a message for him at his office and he called me back. It felt GREAT talking to him as opposed to just merely going on what I have read over the net (not that all of your information hasn't been wonderful...it was just nice hearing it myself). He said that he had a good visit with Joe today and appreciated all that RNTK holders on these threads have been doing to support RNTK. Mark said that GTL is the place to be as all the recent news that you hear about from oil and gas not to mention proposed legislation will confirm. He also said that major oil companies like Shell have their own process and are not willing to license with other companies. This leaves companies without such a process left searching for ways to compete. RNTK and Syntroleum are the companies that are interesting to the major companies who are searching for solutions. Mark said that it was recently reported from information released by a respectable oil and gas writer that Conoco was talking with RNTK. Mark said that the folks at RNTK questioned her as to how she found that information out and she responded with "don't worry not from you guys". RNTK is not talking to Texaco exclusively since back in October when they renewed the ongoing talks with Texaco. This is definitely good for RNTK as it puts a little heat on interested companies to get down to business. Mark said that RNTK was currently talking to 7 or so other companies (I am sure that Texaco and Conoco would be the biggest of those). Mark also said that negotiations were in the "advanced stages" and were to the point where insiders were no longer permitted to buy or sell RNTK stock. He said that this is a typical policy when companies are negotiating in the later stages of an agreement. I really wish that this message that I was posting was actually a Real Audio clip of our entire phone conversation because I know that all of you would sleep better tonight hearing that positive sounding voice of RNTK. I can't imagine how Joe feels having had the experience of seeing him face to face getting to see all of those wonderful non-verbals (can't help it... I am a counselor). Let's just say that this guy took the time to call me back and took the time to have a conversation with me in which he sounded as excited about his company's potential as I was interested in what he had to say. He did not sound as interested in getting off the phone as he sounded interested in helping me as much as he could. That alone makes me feel good about investing in this company. Mark said the the Weil conference was great to get the RNTK name out and was everything that he hoped it would be. He said that he ran into tons of people in the elevators and around the conference that saw his name tag and said "hey I own stock in your company". He pointed out that these guys owned it personally as they are with companies who can only invest in companies with much larger caps. He said he could not say whether the deal was 2 weeks or 2 months away (or if it would happen for sure) but he did seem to think that RNTK was where they want to be. He also said that they gave out a great deal of printed information that individuals picked up at the conference (more than many other companies). I hope that this will help some of you sleep better tonight. I wish I had more money to invest right now but I am thankful for what I have.
