I seriously doubt these firms would break the rules. Two seconds
is real fast!

From what I have been told, (I have not seen the system work,
I merely acquired some information on it and then asked some questions), the "review & release" process is not involved. Basically,
your order prints out on a printer. An individual merely hits
a key on the keyboard to "release" the order and off it goes. The
only delay would be if the order required the individual to look
at your account or it required higher approval for release due to
pre-set parameters set by the firm.

I must agree that even for the most basic function, 2 seconds from
you to the firm to the floor then back to you is hard to believe.

I wish I knew how to follow up on this further, as I am really curious exactly how it works at Datek & E*Trade. Given the chance,
I'll continue to ask people who might know for sure, and I'll report
back here.
