Well, Beauregard the Bassett Hound used to live down the street from me. A former mayor of Anaheim owned him, and Beauregard dined regularly on steak. A large, handsome hound, but as far as I know Beauregard didn't share Bilbo's amorous proclivities.

I never have owned a dog, but I've been bitten by a few. The last was a disgruntled Australian Shepherd, obviously unhappy at being deprived of a tail or eyes that match, and who attempted to make a eunuch of me. But his aim was off; to him I say nyaah nyaaah nyaaaaah!!!.
