Dear, dear Grant. I have not forgotten our discussions of my beloved Poor Knights of the Temple of Jerusalem either. It is just so overwhelming sometimes I believe God is just telling me that it was something He wanted me to know, and there is no way to pass it on. So, who knows. Maybe there is no way to do anything about it now anyway. But I keep praying about it anyway.

As for you, come to think of it I don't know why we are tending to worry about you more than most brothers here. It's because you're so young and it's just very difficult being a monk at a fraternity house. It just doesn't fit the pattern. So, of course anyone would have to worry about it a little. But then what makes you any less strong in the Lord than the thousands upon thousands of guys that have been establishing a personal relationship with Jesus early on for years and years and years? You've got a fraternity, well, they had a favorite bar. You are surrounded by girls, well, find the Christians and hang out with them. You may be surprised to find some Christian walking with the Lord might also be more fun than the one's that aren't. And you may also be shocked to find that a lot of the worldly looking girls are also Christians just trying to maintain in a sinful environment. So. Don't be too polite about it. Speak up.

I work with a bunch of guys who are married so I didn't really care about being friendly one way or another, just noticed that they all seemed very decent and totally normal and fun, just said hi and by and nothing else, and finally after a while got to talking and being a little more personal and find out four of them are big time Christians. As in VERY. Christians can't always go around yelling "I'm a Christian! I'm a Christian!" But. Once you do, you'll be surprised how many yell back, "YOU TOO???? SO AM I!!"

Look at SI, Grant. What would have ever been said here ever about our Lord if Shalom hadn't started staking out a spot for just that?

So, anyway, I'm not going to worry about you that much. But I will definitely keep you in my prayers. What I'm just realizing is that you/me/we are looking at that college as a field of sin, when if you started looking for other Christians, you might think you had found the Mother Lode of Christian fellowship. Who knows?

How great is the darkness right now, for sure. But the darkness only makes the Light that much brighter--and much easier to spot, too.

And as far as your question as to what I got I wanted. Probably way, way too much of lots of things. And that's all I feel the Lord would have me talk about any of it. He's as sick of my stories as I am.
