Leo, Dr. Cowpland has a "Clintonesque" quality of "staying power" that is simply remarkable. As long as there is a "Corel" there will be a "Cowpie." Yes, we all must consider the "Cowpland Factor" when evaluating COS/COSFF'S undervalued situation, but he's here to stay and there is no use lamenting over it.
As you say, there is evidence of channel stuffing in the Q1 A/R number. How much "channel stuffing" do you think was included in Q1 sales? My own guess, about $12 M.
And Focus? May have lost some. My feelings are similar to last year. Can't believe Corel cannot create excitement and demand for truly top quality products. But you were 100% correct when you said that there wasn't anything "we could do about it." Corel's focus? Very little they can do right now except FOCUS ON THE SUITE. The jBusiness just ain't gonna bring in cash.
So now I look at a company which still has terrific flagship products, but can't sell 'em. The stock is pasted on the floor with heavy "G" force and severely undervalued. So, I'll take another gamble on Dr. Cowpland, pick up shares and have faith that the company will have exterminated all "cockroaches" in the next six to eight quarters.
Vanni's "suit" twist isn't helping, but it too will pass. These suits are the least of my concerns for the future of the share value.
If Corel will firmly tie its balloon to the Suite, Dr. Cowpland's basket will rise with it.
