"E-mail RJR as a MO stockholder. Say, you did good. "
DK, already wrote a letter to him, a letter to Bible and two letters to the WSJ and the NYTimes. If you have Goldstone's or Bible's email address, by all means, please share, I prefer to email them.
I, for one, am standing behind MO et al on this one. I haven't felt this strongly about something in a long time.
Let's get behind them on this, I'm sick of seeing Koop's pompous ass on TV! McCain even admitted on Nightline last night that they excluded tobacco from negotiations on his bill because that would give the industry "veto power" and his committee wanted to draft the "simplest" form of legislation it could! Simple my ass! Raising prices will not have that much affect on teenage smoking! I know, I am only 22 -- never smoked, 5 of my 6 closest friends do, but say price won't stop them. Whatever happened to enforcement of the "18 or over" law? Another one on the books that the government lacked the initiative to enforce? Tax, tax, tax, and the worst thing is that most of the money made for the government via the "settlement" wouldn't even go directly to smoking-related health services, etc.!
As you can see I'm a little fired up. Tobacco is fighting for us, the individuals, and are saying "enough is enough!"
GO BIG MO! THANK YOU MR. GOLDSTONE, YOU'RE ALRIGHT IN MY BOOK!
