There are certainly enzymes and other naturally occurring co-factors in the body that are necessary for HIV replication. The problem is that they are also needed for normal cell growth. If you start trying to inhibit these cellular functions by disrupting the natural hormonal balance of the body, you will undoubtedly have numerous serious side effects to contend with, possibly including but not limited to DEATH. Drugs designed to inhibit natural cellular factors are notoriously toxic for this reason. That is why all major efforts involving HIV to date have focused on specific VIRAL targets.
