>>>Frank, Jesse, what is you stand on that?<<< Marum has lots of potential and good management. Excluding Ashton all the juniors are trying to be the runner up to Ashton re spotlight. Montello, New Claymore and a few others had plans in Dec 97 to start drilling in early 98. Speculators expected them to intersect kimberlite within weeks. I hate to be a smart ass but I had a different opinion and past posts can confirm my remarks on other threads I post. This is a long process and people should not expect to buy stock and expect that a discovery of a kimberlite will double their investment in months. If indeed that does happen, it will fall back quickly as pros move in and some insiders take the runup as an opportunity to exercise their some of their cheap options. All diamond exploration juniors should compare results/trends to Ashton/Pure Gold and I can assure you that investors are way smarter today than they were last year. For a Alberta diamond stock to fly to heights where Ashton high of $8.00, we will need rumours that the drill bit hit a 4 carat pink stone. Otherwise, the exploration cycle will be as comparable or slower than Ashton. Like JP suggested, Ashton and Pure Gold have 23 kimberlites, 10 out of 14 are proven diamondifirous, 4 have been mini bulk sampled and the stock is a t $4.00. They have a 42.5% interest, 18mil in the bank, approx only 12-15mil shares float.
I may have upset a few people when I suggested that Marum was a short term sell at .30 or over. It was based on the percentage increase it had gained in a short time with no fundamental justification. Same happened to Ashton and Pure Gold last year.
Results to confirm what the 'green stuff' is will be out in three to six weeks and I think we will have good opportunities to buy the stock at reasonable prices, low 20's before leading us to the next set of results and runup. Marum should be aggresively bought at prices under .22.
I want you to all understand that I support all Diamond exploration stocks in Alberta and hope day and night that someone besides Ashton finds kimberlite which would help ignite the ADP. Happy Investing! Invest only what you can afford to lose!
