I am far from being an expert on PCs

Doesn't much matter around here, of course. Technical matters, legal matters, it's all the same. Microsoft rules, just ask Reggie. There's nothing else that needs to be said.

You've somewhat garbled the Lessig story, but that doesn't matter either. Reggie can give you a binding legal opinion, he was busted for conspiring to sue Microsoft. Reggie will also give you a binding opinion that Microsoft has done nothing wrong legally, according to the "binding precedent" of "correct" antitrust enforcement set during the Reagan administration. Lessig found his machine screwed up after installing a Microsoft product. Not exactly an uncommon occurrance, in my personal experience as well as according to what I read.

You love Microsoft, there's others around here who share that opinion. I find Microsoft amusing. My experiences with the integrity and uniformity of the Windows experience have lead me to express hostility at times, but now that I've followed company policy and ditched Windows95 for NT, I try to stick to sarcasm. I'd like to move on to irony, but that's a little subtle for this crowd.

Cheers, Dan.
