Yes, that's right. GT Interactive has already sold more than 700,000 units of the bargain priced hunting sim, Deer Hunter. The game has topped the PC Data sales charts for the last two months and shows no signs of slowing. To capitalize on this recent success, GT Interactive will release Sporting Clays, which focuses on trap shooting. In the game, players are able to choose their shooting range, gun sensitivity and targets which include clay rabbits. The game will ship at the same bargain price point as Deer Hunter and will be marketed to the exact same audience.
"Our expanding outdoor sporting lineup gives consumers the opportunity to enjoy real-life experiences in an easy-to-play, yet challenging interactive medium," said Chuck Bond, president of GT Interactive Value Products. "We are reaching a market segment that has been previously overlooked and we are committed to creating high quality interactive titles at an affordable price." |
