1. Something like one-quarter as many people with AIDS now get CMV-Retinitis as did ten years ago. (Sorry, I have lost my source on that.) 2. People have had a long time to become aware of Fomivirsen and its efficacy. Considering the diminishing market, and the well-settled expectations regarding the drug, it doesn't seem to me that even approval of the drug will mean that much to share price.
