As far server software development goes, if Oracle recognizes Linux as having a significant market presence, it can port most of its product line there fairly quickly. Actually Linux already has Java support, so this is good. As far as Oracle porting to Linux, rumor has it that they already did, but their ties with Sun are pretty strong and releasing for Linux would probably erode Solaris' value.
