Gary Sbona signed on for a one year contract starting 7/31/97. He has stated that he is there for as long as the Verity board wants him to be there. It wouldn't surprise me if he bowed out late in '98 or early '99. Sr. VP of Sales Anthony Bettencourt would be a good possibility to become CEO at that time. In any event, I wouldn't expect anything abrupt--this will all be planned out by Sbona and the board.
