Hi cbdad,
Can you tell us when those TV spots first began showing?
I think this is important because it suggests to me that BMW will be rolling out advertising that emphasizes ITS nationwide. That should raise Simula's visibility, which has stock price benefits in the short run.
What is more important, however, is that such "spots" will turn up the heat on Mercedes, Volvo, and the rest of the auto companies that were planning head and neck protection into their vehicles, but which have nothing to show for it yet besides "deflated" curtains.
ITS works, it is available, and there is no competitive product. I am delighted that I am not in charge of marketing at the car companies that compete directly with BMW. At the moment, they have nothing to say about safety.
The pressure is building for Mercedes and Volvo to change their preference for "curtains." If either one (though my favorite choice is Mercedes, of course!) elects to change plans now, Simula stock will be on a rocket ride.
Following the TFS conference call this afternoon, Mrs. Noblesse and I are leaving for points west to enjoy the long weekend. Most likely I will not post here again until at least late Monday evening.
Happy Holidays everyone. |
