Under this model of the price, the "whisper" estimate is lower than the earlier projection. So the logic of, what happens under various circumstances, should be inverted relative to the "buy on the mystery, sell on the history" school of fish. Thus for projected bad news, it is sell on anticipation, then buy back for participation (copyright 1996, Jesse Jackson). For my part, I think there are just so many distractions in the technology group, even more IPOs, that new money is too diluted for rising prices.
