Toronto Based Oriole Systems Inc.
Potential Breakout Situation

dyadsys.ca

Everything in the stock market business is timing when investing in growth stocks. One must
not forget, of course, the quality of the management and growth prospects of a company.
The company we recommend you check out immediately is Toronto based Oriole Systems Inc
- OOL-V. Oriole is a company in a breakout mode. This well established profitable ($3
million in sales) company is a mainframe software developer and support company.
On Feb. 19/98, the company announced its proposed intention to acquire an Ottawa based
software consulting firm. The two firms, together, will double their sales to $6 million plus. This
acquisition will give the company significant opportunity in Year 2000 (Y2K) compliance
work.
Logic 2000, the company in question, helped to write "The Business and Government Survival
Guide", a publication providing government and business executives with information on the
Year 2000 crisis. Logic 2000 is a world class company in dealing with this potentially
catastrophic problem.
Other acquisitions of private software firms will soon be in the works. The product revenue
forecast is to do $13 million in sales by 1999.
Just released in the April 10, 1998 edition of Investor's Digest, voted the world's leading
investment newsletter, is an accumulate recommendation by Phil Speller, who is president of
PWS Associates, Thornhill, Ontario. Mr. Speller wrote the following:

Another junior equity that currently appears to have no
friends, but warrants accumulation, is computer software
maker Oriole Systems Inc (OOL-VSE, $0.28, 416-512-7000).

The company is awaiting completion of a $3 million to
$5 million financing.

Oriole's software is used mainly by public sector health-care
providers and manufacturing and distribution companies.

Present customers include two Ontario provincial ministries:
Culture, Tourism and Recreation and Environment and Energy;
the Toronto Board of Education, the Toronto Public School Board
Purchasing and Warehousing Cooperative and the Metropolitan
Toronto Home Care Program.

Revenues for the nine months ended September 30, 1997 were
$2.1 million, with net income of $171,000 up 70 per cent from
the first nine months of 1996.

Already profitable

With sales for the full year of about $3.0 million and 20.7 million
shares outstanding, the market capitalization of under two times
sales is remarkably low for a company in this field.

The acquisition of Logic 2000 Inc., a professional services firm
of Year 2000 specialists, should double revenues over the next year.
With the company already profitable, unlike most of its peers, OOL
is an intriguing speculation.
