gb, the place to get in was when MSFT bot 475,000 shares @$14.50 ... a year ago.

Of course, at that time, CMGI's IBD rating was 13/10 or so. Hardly a momentum stock. Observant investors had months after MSFT publicly announced its intention to buy CMGI shares on the open market, and after MSFT announced it had bought NetCarta from CMGI for $20 million cash, and had several weeks after CMGI's quarterly report disclosed MSFT's buy price to buy even cheaper than MSFT did. But they had to buy a stock that was down 75% from its split-adjusted highs of about $50, reached in the Internet Mania of late 1995. When few were talking about it on SI, and NOBODY was posting intra-day price moves.
