Well, from what I understand, if some group came in and attempts a hostile takeover, Eco can now provide the current shareholders with the option of purchasing more shares presumably at a relatively low level. This is a sort of poison pill, I suppose, since it allows eco to suddenly increase the number of outstanding shares if necessary. But in theory, if such a takeover proceeded, it would mean that the shareholders of record would be allowed to have a larger number of shares to sell.

With the breakup value where it is, and with the float being a fairly large percentage of the outstanding shares, it would be possible to acquire a controlling interest.
