Stockmare,,,, If it (Celeron) is such a success and so devastating to AMD, then why is Intel working so hard on its successor. Admit it, this is a sick joke on the uninformed until Intel can produce something of substance that's is also economical. What will the PII 266 be selling for next month? Probably somewhere around 25% higher than the announced 15 April price of the K6-266. I don't think any PC maker in their right mind will pay Intel $200+ each for the 266 Celeron CPU. Packard Bell might if Intel will give them some of that ship now and we might pay you later financing. The Celeron will compete in a class with the 233 mhz or less AMD, Cyrix, or IDT chips. This is the market Intel is after, isn't it?? The Pentium II will continue to compete in the mid and high level market. The K6 266 and 300 will compete with Intel in the mid level market. If the trend continues for K6 speed bin yield improvements, there won't be many 266 mhz products to sell at any price anyway. Buckwheat
