FYI: From Soundview: Research Highlight - Gartner Conference Stock: PLAT Rating: Buy/Hold Date: April 8, 1998 At the Gartner Group Predicts Conference, the PLATINUM session was by far the best attended with an extended question and answer on product strategy, acquisition integration and profitability. We believe PLAT had a good March quarter with a good pipeline of business going forward. PLAT continues to do well in system and database management against far larger competitors including CA and IBM/Tivoli and is enjoying the benefits of having a large scale distribution network. The PLATINUM stock remains too undervalued to ignore at $22 and we would absolutely buy stock here with our $37 price target in mind.
