<<OOOoops! COuld this be a problem? If core systems are flat...but carriers are deploying where is ASND generating incremental revenue? VoIP? Uphill battle. Carrier wins...perhaps but they said they expect growth to be flat. RAS? They're losing market share. Enterprise...not even.>>

Sounds like you didn't take the time to listen to the CC, Gary. Core Sales in Q1 was up slightly from a strong Q4 - Q1 is a slow quarter for carriers. ASND said strong growth in Core switching will go over 50% of ASND's revs sometime in 1998. Strong growth in core switching is expected.

RAS? They quoted Dell'Oro as ASND 41% (same as Q2 1997), COMS 26%, CSCO 15% in ports deployed. Yes, CSCO is higher, but COMS was at 40% before, now 26%. It is apparently not ASND who is losing share.

<< I'm worried...>>

You should be.
