Oracle is attempting to turn its investor relations to a more Microsoft-type one. I think that they deliberately tried to keep estimates under control to ease the pressure on the company. When MSFT used to do this a few years ago, it used to sell off. Now, people have come to expect this from MSFT. After the Q2 situation ("wake up call"), Oracle will make sure that it doesn't miss its quarter for a few years. Last quarter they kept estimates low on purpose and they probably could have beat them by more. This quarter is money in the bank. I look for about 42 cents minimum. For a LT investor, it shouldn't matter, though and Oracle is a sound company.
