Well that's more like it!

DELL has recovered nicely. The Salmon Brother's analyst Childes
has been replied to by CompUSA with a HUH!

I sent a request to DELL for the date of release of the quarterly
financials. I do not see any reason they can't tell us.

Comments and Questions about NC:

The NC from SUNW looks like a PC w/o a monitor or a disk.
You are out of business if the network goes down. Why is this
really much different than an X-terminal? I would not like to carry
it around with me. It does not look like a portable.

This would work better on the intranet than on the internet.
The bandwidth of the intranet is higher (ethernet) than
the internet(modem).

The cost of adminstering a SUNW network is not small.
UNIX based machines are complicated to install well.
UNIX does not have the same level of security that
NT has.

Intel and MSFT are working on the administrative cost
issues of managing a PC network.

Is a Newton really a hand held NC. If not it could be.
All it has to do is execute downloaded applets.

This looks like a way for SUNW to try to beef up its server
sales. Sun can have Java Applet Servers. So can anyone else for
that matter. Why not PPRO Java Servers for NC and Newtons and
PDA's? This should be less expensive than Sun servers.
