Let's look at the points in this Yahoo post:

<<- Management is very aware of the low stock valuation, they are taking steps to address it. >>

Well they certainly ought to be doing both.

<< - Their quarter is not just good, it is very good. Sequential gain is to be above the range he previously expected (higher than 20% according to him). The gross margin rate is actually going up, revenues might be close to or above $60 million. No bad surprise on the balance sheet either, inventory and DSOs down. The street should love it. >>

Xyplex had annualized revenues of $40M (declining from over $100M under Raytheon, I believe). MRVC completed the purchase on 2/2/98. So
MRVC should see 2/3 of 10M in Q1 from Xyplex - or say $6M. They did $48M+ last quarter and could be expected to post $52-$54 without Xyplex, so this is "close to or above $60M".

20%+ sequentially on EPS would be $0.31. I figured $0.28 anyway, and this could well be - especially if Europe was strong again and Fiber Optic product revenues were supposed to bloom beginning in 1998. We know NOTHING about Xyplex Balance sheet or Income Statement on turnover to MRVC or before as those numbers were buried in Whitaker's. What was the A/R? DSO? Debt?

<<From what he says, I would expect them to do better then beat the estimates by a penny this time. >>

What IS the estimate? $0.27 I thought?

<< Other pieces:
- Expect 2 announcements in the next 2 weeks (sic).
- Maybe related to that, new alliance might be in the pipeline. >>

Well with that larger sales force and new (Xyplex) customers to sell to, this is entirely possible. Don't forget that DELL was looking at NBASE (and other Israeli companies) a month or two ago. That would be really NICE!

<<- PR is being worked on, expect many more releases from now on to keep everybody posted on product developments and deals. >>

This only makes sense. They are MUCH too quiet.

<<- Liquidity will be improved soon (along maybe with new coverage). >>

What? Another secondary? Stock split at this level? How else?
